Hi ladies! I am Thamina, gender equality activist and Account Director at LinkedIn.
When I graduated from college in 2017 and started my life as a young professional, I suffered from post-graduation depression. After being in school for the vast majority of my life, I struggled to establish a new sense of identity that was not tied to being a student. Formerly pre-defined milestones now had to be created by myself. As much as I loved and still truly value my undergraduate experience, I have come to realize that school did not properly prepare me for many of the things that life would later throw at me.
This is what Femme Hive is all about. Through a series of genuine conversations with a diverse group of women around topics that relate to navigating adulthood, I'm hoping to 1) elevate female voices and 2) empower young women who are - just like me - still in search of a fulfilling, purpose-driven life.
